Default Van broken into (again) :-(

Hi guys, new to the forum and wondered if you could offer some advice.

I have had my van broken into 4 times now at 4 different locations. It's a Peugeot partner 2008

The first, had deadlocks fitted, the thieves crowbarred the sliding door open no problem after popping the rear lock off.

Had the 2 doors replaced due to damage,

Second and third times, had the locks popped off again.

This week I fitted armaplates to the rear and sliding doors, removed my cargo release button on the dash. So they broke in through the drivers door and reached through my bulkhead, opened the sliding door from the inside.

My problem now is I have no keyed entry to the van as they decided to steal the key barrel. Peugeot want to sell it all as a set. I'm Thinking can I disconnect the central locking from the drivers door and have it solely working off a slamlock? And leave the central locking still working the rest of the van?

Pics are of the first and latest time

You dont say what you keep in your van but it might be better to remove anything of value and just leave it unlocked

I never lock anything and when i see something with lots of security on it it makes me think there must be something in there worth stealing.

Bit like when your looking for a house if every house in the street has an alarm system it makes me think its NOT a good place to live.

Thanks for the reply, tried that too with no luck, Thieves don't tend to check the doors, they still break the locks off :-( so fitting the armaplates was purely cosmetic for me to get over damage to the door surrounding the missing handles.. It's such a shame they are so easily breached. I do take all my tools into the job/ my house with me every time now but unfortunately it doesn't stop them having a peek

Could be worse you can get in a transit connect with a 9 volt battery without doing any visible damage !!

Just get the holes welded up and make a sign that says dont bother someone beat you to it
