Default problem with electrics after new engine fitted

hi had a mark 2 partner brought into me that snapped the timing belt
1.9 dw8 engine
fitting new engine with all his own parts fuel pump etc
engine starts but battery light staying on but im getting 14.4v at idle
and 12v turned off and not picking up crank sensor.
also tryed a new sensor to rule it out
van stuck in eco mode

any help would be great thanks

just wrote my codes down
p1687 pump module not matching/unlocked
p0335 crankshaft position sensor a circuit malfunction

would the timing stop the crank from getting a signal and the battery light staying on
the van does start first turn of key and when i timed the engine i locked it up
a autospark told me he thinks it the timing but i couldnt c it

What about the flywheel? I wonder if the the old engine had different pick ups for crank sensor. Have you 14.4 at fuse box, pulled/pinched a wire re harnessing the beast maybe?

Flywheel has 2 tags sticking out for crank sensor and they are easily broken if its not sensing these the engine will be smoky and it will not come out of economy mode.

The not coming out of economy mode may be your battery light issue too

Yes defo flywheel had this problem when I fitted my van with a 306 d turbo engine you need to fit later type dw8 flywheel had a bit of help off reliable 406 with this issue changed my fly and hay presto working ??
