Default Partner Combi bad smell and fog lights!

03 Combi 2.0 HDi recently when I put the cabin fan on there is a really bad smell like wet dog but worse. Had a look for the cabin filter but can't find one by the glovebox so guess if you don't have air-con (I don't) you don't have a filter. Anyone got any ideas what's causing the smell??

Also does anyone know where I can get a silver front fog light surround (the plastic bit) for sensible money? I lost one the other day.

Thanks

Little bit more info.....just had a look and there isn't a cabin filter. When I ran my hand to the right of the acbin fan motor (on the ducting behind the centre console there is a brown oily liquid. Consistance of WD40 but smells the same as wet dog. Any ideas what this is?

Could be coolant if you need a new heater matrix - most likely
