Default Clock light circuit failed?

(It's actually on a Berlingo, but I had to join to message a user so figured I could post it here too. It's a 54 plate mk2 Multispace 1.9D)

The backlights in the clock have stopped working.

As they were cheapo LED's I assumed they'd all failed and ordered some decent replacements.

These do not work either!

So I went to Halfords and bought a standard 286 filament lamp just to check.

This isn't working either!
Just wondered if anyone had any ideas as the clock itself works fine, and still gives door open warnings etc.
