Did a few google searches and didn't pull up any hits that mention spotswood related malware or malicious websites. Would think it was obtained elsewhere.

Hi trem1 yes I am on windows 7 If you go onto the peugeot forums put in spotswood the page comes up and there seems to be nothing on there, Ive just been on there and there is a recent visitors box and it has pete407sw and cab sign in as recent visitors, I dont want any body to go on there and get the desktop icon on their computer as I cannot seem to remove it from mine. Thanks for any help pete407sw.

to try and show us this spotwood icon (never heard of it myself)
click on the windows symbol(bottom left)
on mine near the top of the pop is 'snipping tool' open that and draw a box around the picture you want (ie your screen)
click save as and save on your desktop (be probably called capture)
back onto here and make your post but click on attachements, search desktop for capture and click upload then submit your post.

Hopefully that makes some sense and we can try and help you get rid of this spotwood.
Have you gone into your control panel and looked for the program to uninstall it ??
