Default Clutch problem

Hi I have a 1999 206 and the clutch is really hard to push and then springs back up really fast anyone have any ideas to what could be wrong please

Quite simple, you need a new clutch. I'm surprised to be the first one to respond to your post.

is it a cable type clutch? if so they run along the bulkhead behind the exhaust manifold(on some models),and start to sieze in the area around the bulkhead,im confident in saying its the clutch cable,its bought as a cable and mount kit to the bulkhead secured by 2 10mm nuts,a bit tricky to do but defo cable.
try that before spending on a clutch.after all its only about 17.if your near stoke on trent.pm me and i will help.
