Default 208 disc brakes

Hi guys

I have a 208gti registered in December 2013

It had a new set of rear disc brakes at 4800 mile

At approx 7500 miles the problem started again and I was told it was slight surface corrosion and would go.

Now at 10000 miles it needs new rear discs again

They say it's because I don't drive the car enough but it was driven constantly before the first new set.

I'm getting nowhere with peugeotnor my dealership they just keep saying I don't drive it enough but my car is always driven.

Help please :-( I don't know what to do

What exactly is the problem? Is it something you've identified or was it identified by the dealer? Is it corrosion on the braking surface itself or nearer the centre of the disc? Could it be the usual dust corrosion that builds up over time? Can you put up some photos?

My wife has a Jan 14 registered 208 GTi with 7000km on the clock and no issues

It's across the whole rear discs on Both sides dealer say it's corroded and pitted, due to not being driven enough. They said it was slight corrosion on the surface at 7500 and it would go on its own accord. Which it hasn't. It's got worse. Anyone would normally expect rear discs to last u til around 20k miles.
My car is always driven all be it not very long distance but it's always driven.
I can't take pictures at the moment my partner is using the car.
When they changed the discs at 4800 miles it was done under warranty and it's just strange how it needs them again already.

I'm taking it to another dealer next Wednesday to get a second opinion
