Default Rev surge issue

Partner 1.6 hdi 2007

When the revs hit 3100 it drops back to just under 3000 then back upto 3100 and my foot hasnít moved on the accelerator. Only does this when stationary doesnt happen when driving!
Doesnít cause any fault codes to show up.

Hi..I must ask why you are revving the engine to 3000 rpm while stationary ?

Ive had the van since April 16 and later that year it was frosty and i had the revs up to warm up the engine - to get the heater going - to thaw out the windscreen. That’s when I first noticed it happening. Ive recently changed vans and looking to sell the partner but would like to get a few things sorted before I pass it on to someone else.

Hi....so reving a cold engine to 3000 revs is'nt the best way to warm up a diesel....I would'nt worry about the revs dropping if its ok when driving...you have no fault showing. It could be anything...but nothing to worry about...
