Default Peugeot partner tepee 1.6 hdi 2008 oil problems

hi every one i hope some one on here can help me. i have a tepee and love it but was doing some level checks last week and noticed that the coolant tank is full of black oil . only owned the car for a few weeks .
i have read a lot of different things about this and still can not come to any kind of conclusion . there is no mayo on oil cap dip stick is fine and also temp is fine so seems more like the oil is getting in to the water witch makes me think head is ok and more along the oil cooler ? if this where the case and i have a bad oil cooler what part needs replaced would it be the whole filter housing or maybe just new gaskets ?
also when i bought the car the air intake pipe was missing and the orange seal around the air pipe on the turbo was split these have been replaced but now car seems to purge at idle any idea what that could be ?
also any problems i should be aware of in removing the cooler

thanks every one

Yes its most likely the oil cooler its just bolted on to filter housing so easy enough to replace.

For future reference you DO NOT get mayo on diesels if head gasket goes that applies to petrol engines only diesels pressurise the coolant system.
