Default Partner Grand Raid Transmission or Linkage?

2007 Partner Grand Raid 5 Speed manual transmission.

I was driving today and went to shift from 2 to 3 gear and gearshift only flops up/down with no side to side movement and car is stuck in 2nd gear.

At least I was able to drive it home.

I was looking at the French Language service manual and I am not too good with French but pictures work ok for me. I see the two pieces "Biellette de selection" which likely would seem suspect but they were replaced a 2 years ago as mechanic said they were bent.

There is also "Billette de passage" which might be the cause

of course shooting in the dark here.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Mark
