Default 2005 Partner Oil Pressure Light

Hi,
My oil pressure light is not working on my 2.0L Partner.
Is there any way of testing that the led in the dash has failed please?
Thanks in advance
John

Unlikely to be the dash its more likely a broken wire or the connector has fallen off the sender on the engine

For testing just the diode (not activating circuitry et al), a multimeter with diode test mode could be used. Apply red lead to the anode and black to cathode. Meter should display the [approximate, probably a bit lower than nominal due to low test current] forward voltage of the diode, and diode should light up [weakly due to low test current]
