from what i have been told from people in the industry windows 7 is going to be like xp, ie very good and successful and windows 8 will be like vista ie i piece of crap that no one wants and im guessing thats why they are selling it so cheap

You're right. 8 is like Vista or ME. Microsoft have tried to complete with Apple and alienated their corporate clients with this POS.

If it was so great then the downloads for "Classic Shell" - which makes it look like Windows 7 or XP - would be minimal, but they're not!

I find it incredible that people buy the latest OS, then have to shell out on new hardware (no drivers for existing) and then make it look exactly like their old OS!

I like this version of Windows 8, pretty neat if you ask me. It's a lot more user friendly and is more responsive once you get used to it.

Haven't played with it yet just starting to let go of my grip of xp to have w7 lol i can see it being useful on small touch devices as trying to navigate round them with tiny points on the taskbar you can't get to without a stylus.
I think a blend of Android and windows would be cool where it acts like a shell until you want to get in deeper to tweak stuff.I'm sure after a time it'll get improved

Also its selling point of bland coloured tiles is a bit 80s isn't it.
