there's a distinct lack of detailed photos, no doubt aimed at the school run mums that can't afford a decent 4x4 (or a Qashqai)

when any 4x4 will do regardless of how crap it is

I had a pajero as well 2.8 but was rubbish think people have different experinces with cars mine was nightmare got rid bought bmw another nightmare spent fortune on it got rid bought jaguar and must say great car was the v8 converted it to gas but then bought my dog so need estate went for the 407 now have the qashqai which i would not say is brilliant but no trouble yet the qashqai is nice but just dont get that like to show it off feeling although ive only done around 1300 miles in it from new had it 6 months now.

Note i did not say much about the 407 was another nightmare but i think most cars am these days my first cars in the 80s got nothing bad to say about them wished i still had them all down to car manufactures getting all complicated with electrics

In the past Dacia were shite, and then some.

More recently Renault have acquired the rights to the name and re-created the brand for backward countries, and as a budget car for selected Wuropean countries.

On the one hand they're not related to the Dacias of old. They use engines, components and platforms from Rebault, do its tried and tested ingredients on the menu.

On the other, they are to some extent parts bin specials. They haven't had the development budget and timescales that the patent companies cars have enjoyed, and in many cases will have to settle for a less than suitable component for the job at hand simply because it already exists in the Renfault or Nissan inventory. Indeed, budget constraints will further mean some of these components are from deleted models, because they're less sophisticated and hence cheaper.

So the provenience is ok, but they are genuinely built to a budget for a specific purpose.

I think it will be one of those cases where you will get what you pay for, and not a pennies worth more.
