Default Sky box

Hi guys
I have a thomson hd box and sky are coming out tomorrow to update my hd box so I can get anytime+, on demand etc.. Has anyone had their box upgraded to the new amstrad as I am wondering does the engineer have to connect cables to the dish or is he just out to make sure they get the old box back? I know when I updated to hd they had to run a second cable

Id say keep a beady eye on him! Surely you own the box, no?

Apparently as it is a "free" upgrade they take the old box back, or so I can make out from the sky forum

I have just had a new box delivered as a free replacement as the older Thomson boxes don't accept on demand apparently, I opted for self install and they have sent a box and label to return the old box in. If I do not return it then they will charge full price for the box.

I have just got sky put back in...you keep the box its yours. because of this i have spare sky+hd just sitting there gathering dust...although once you cancel you can keep the box and use it for freesat and if you had sky hd...freesat HD

remember to tune your remote for your tv...the engineer did mine wrong...had to use a different code so i can change inputs on tv.

but yeah love skyatlantic...class shows on there like...bite that VM lol

My old box wasn't compatible with on demand so they gave me a free upgrade but they look for the original box back.

first time ive ever heard of a digital tv company asking for the box back...Even VM dont for their new Tivo boxes or new super hubs...

I know they offer a free recycle service?

Oh if you have entertainment extra...make sure you sign up to sky 3d before they take it off you and make you pay.

Colleague of mine just rang sky to price up the wireless adapters for anytime+, turns out they are dishing them out for free

So if you are too far away from your router to run a cable and your box doesn't have built in wireless give them a call and snag a wireless adapter for some anytime+ goodness!
