Default Scrapped my motor

I got rid of the 307 today, nothing left of her, just the shell and the doors really. It was a car breaker who came and collected it. Preferred to go with him as he is going to get the back calipers off for me as they were only changed and would like to keep them for my new 307 as the back brakes are sticking and might need them.

I got 60 for it...might have gotten a little more from scrap metal people but they would not have took caliper off for me. I did phone scrap metal and they said with the car being stripped I would be looking at 70 after 30 collection fee..

Main question is I gave the guy the log book, so is that me covered? He said he would sort it and get it out of my name.

Is there anything I should do, dont want to end up with a tax fine or anything like that....

If its anything like when selling a car, its the owner that has the responsibility to send the log book to DVLA. Whoever takes the car, fills in their part, and you, the owner, sends it to DVLA. You just have to trust that he will do it
