No Offence meant here, and i hope you take this as its meant BUT,
If your not computer savvy enough to know what keygens are etc,is it really wise for you to be messing around with diagnostics that can totally screw up your car if you do something wrong.
I say this and i'm ok with computers and find my way around most things AND i have planet, but to be honest i'm too scared to plug it in just in case i turn my car into a brick.

for just reading codes I use Diagbox Which is a lot easier to install

1. First, if you haven't installed already, you want daemon tools. Or something similar - virtual drive mounting software. Now mount the 7.02 image.

2. Diagbox will now extract and install; it may take a while as it is around 4GB. Once extracted the installer will launch.

3. ACTIVATION – Click the far right icon for manual activation.

4. You will be asked for your customer code, you want to enter: scary01.

5. Once you have entered the customer code you will be presented with the next step, do not alter any of the info in either of the 2 boxes. To precede click the green tick. Diagbox will now continue installing; again this may take a while.

6. Once installed it will ask you to fill out name and address info. Just put a 0 in every box marked with an asterix *.

7. It will then ask you to validate to continue /search for new updates, click on the big red X and then once again the big red X - AT NO POINT IN THE INSTALL AND UPDATE PROCESS DO YOU WANT TO VALIDATE AUTOMATICALLY – THIS WILL LOCK YOU OUT OF DIAGBOX AND YOU WILL HAVE TO START AGAIN

8. Now you have installed 7.02. Now close diagbox down and we can now move onto the updating process.

9. IMPORTANT: BEFORE UPDATING - You need to go to the following path on your hard drive: C: \ AWRoot \ bin \ fi – and make a copy of the file "APPDIAG" and put it somewhere safe like desktop.

10. Now you can update, and once updated you want to go back to the above folder path and overwrite APPDAG with the 1 that you made a copy of. Simply copy and paste your copy. You need to do this after EVERY TIME YOU UPDATE - To keep it activated.

11. To update you need to run through each update file 1 by 1. Copy and paste all update files from the disc to anywhere on your hard drive. Some will be in a .rar, the password for these is scary01

12. Start with 7.02 to 7.06. You will be asked for a password, this is scary01. Once that has unpacked don’t restart. Double click the diagbox icon on your desktop and it will now update to 7.06. Don’t forget to overwrite the APPDIAG after EACH update. Repeat process until at required version

you may have an already Patched version supplied with your Lexia which is straight too 7.04

Craigleather and dustbin dog like this.
