Default Peugeot 206 diesel running to fast

I have a 2000 peugeot 206 1.9 D, i think it might be running to high on idle. Any one know what it should be?

Mine is running just under 10. Is there a way of turning it down of something like that?

If this is a new proplem I would check throttle cable, linkages and pedal movement before tinkering with a previously good inj pump.

Not sure if it is or isn't new. Just brought it as my Clio gear box was packing up. So you would recommend having a look at what you said above? I know this might sound dumb but what should i be looking for?

Check general operation and movement. Can you pull the pedal back? do the idle revs drop? Check the action on the injection pump (same). Can't remember of the top of my head, but there may be something similar to an idle screw on the pump/cable linkage. Just going back to basics here...........
