Default Nuclear

Don't know if this is allowed or not, but was just thinking that China and France are going yo be involved in the building and construction of a new nuclear power station here in the UK. I do hope that the French are not involved in the wiring or electronics...just saying.
OldCodgger and davetech like this.

Yeah, we should let the Germans do it so they can falsify the tests and lie about the results

I've had 3 Peugeots and one Renault. Only ever had electrical issues with the Renault.

Personally I don't know why we need foreign help?
We were a world leader in nuclear technology, so what happened??

What happened was successive governments argued about what was best for the country and all the experts in the field got fed up waiting and went elsewhere so now we have no knowledge as what we do have is out of date technology.

Uk governments have no interest in long term commitment they only see 4 year chunks this is why the country is in such a state each successive party spends 2 of its 4 year term fixing/altering what the previous party done then its time to fight for the keys to no 10 so nothing ever gets done.

If this was italy or france BMW would not have been allowed to rip rover apart and throw it in the scrap heap im not saying rovers were good but BMW were allowed to cherry pick the best bits and bin the rest.

This would never happen in france to peugeot or renault there would be riots in the street

Same in italy when lancia were in trouble the italian government essentialy gave lancia to fiat rather than seeing it go down or end in foreign control.

Fiat is struggling at the moment like everyone else but they are still afloat unlike rover

Ford dont even make cars in the uk anymore !

Our governments are to blame for the state this country is in not the present government ALL OF THEM.

Should we mention that many Peugeots were built in the UK, wasn't it Ryton near Coventry?
