Default New and could do with some help hdi smoke on start up

Hello could someone steer me in the right direction I have a 207 1.6 hdi 90hp it gives out a bant of white/grey smoke on start up , is this the norm I have only had the car 2 weeks , the car drives fines when smoke clears no issues and no smoke can some of you clever people help please

I've had 2 x 307's. One was a 1.6 hdi 90 with the other a 2.0 hdi 90. Both of them gave off lots of white smoke when first started but soon cleared. Never had an ounce of problems with either of them doing 600 plus miles per week. Both ran great and were quite economical. I'd worry if it was blueish smoke all the time though.

My 1.4 petrol does, especially of late. Its probably because its cold outside.

If it clears when the car warms, you're getting no engine warning lights, and a good MPG, you should be OK.

It's just condensation evaporating with the heat of the exhaust.

Thank you guys for your replies , however the smoke smells sweet like when you try and start a diesel to soon , it then turns to white condensation smoke , thank you for your replies hope I haven't bought a dud
