Default Movie - Prometheus 3D

This is the first movie I've seen in 3D. The space scenes are particularly effective. Worth an extra few quid to see the 3D version? Yes.

This movie is a prequel to Alien - the arch shaped ship (as seen in the first and second movies) is the same - the creature that is seen in the first movie, in the pilots seat post chest burster - is also in Prometheus.

OK story line - possibly a little too predictable- but still worth a view. Special effects were good but not over done. Reminded me a little of the 'Mission to Mars' movie - but with more slime and fangs.

If you like horror/sci fi -then I would go and see this.

Theater was about half full - not a good sign.

This movie gets a 6/10.

I agree.

It was visually stunning, a real treat for the eyes, and the screenplay/story progression was definitely in Ridley Scott's style (character-based storylines, elongated scenes, liberal attitude to gore), but I think the sentence "similar to Alien but without the Alien in it" sums it up well - it felt like it was always going somewhere but then the suspense was over really quickly. And it was swung wide open for a follow up.

I think 6 is a fair score, but only because it didn't live up to the hype
