We took kids last year it's great both my kids loved it.

It's very very busy lots of patience require when qing for rides.
There's a splash park bit which kids loved so take some swim shorts and listen out for a bell ringing warns you the big bucket at top of splash park is gonna tip.
You need to be there for opening and you won't leave til closing time. Paying to q jump is a good idea but bloody expensive.

Cheers , did you stay on site hotel? Or just day trip,
We fly into heathrow so any hotels heading to legoland would do , but I think I'd rather spend more and stay onsite

As it was roughly a three hour drive each way we choose to drive down after rush hour and stopped in a premier inn about 10-15 mins drive away and go to legoland the next day. Got there for well before opening time and ohh was it busy. You enter at main gates but they won't let you walk down to any of the rides til opening time then it's chaos kids, parents and push chairs rushing like mad.

Had a great time and kids would definitely go back.

several website where you could get hotel/accommodation deal
Booking.com and Lastminute .
Sometimes you can find vouchers on moneysavingexpert. But it seems not at the moment.
Plus Legoland also have offers on their website too
