Default key cutting & programming

hello everyone, im looking at setting up as a mobile auto locksmith I have all the info and costs involved but would like a few thoughts off people as to what they would consider a reasonable cost for a few things

1, if you where to loose your car key and don't have a spare what would you consider a good rate to call a locksmith out to get you in the car and to cut and program a new key (just the call out cut and program cost as key prices vary)

2, to cut an program a spare key if you bring car to me (just to cut and program as key prices vary)

3, to cut an program a spare key on a call out(just to cut and program as key prices vary)

4, to cut a blade only if brought to me

5, to cut a blade through the post

as people who already know me I like to offer really good prices but get more customers to make up for it, anyone who has had to get a key sorted for there car it would be great to know what you have paid as this will help me to see what sort of profit margins to expect from a 15000 investment

I dont have much experience with the programming, lost keys etc...

I have just paid 10 to a chap on ebay who made a copy of just my key blade from a photo.

I got my mate to order it, pay for it and get it delivered to his house, as i was not happy having my address stored on the same computer that a picture of my key was on.

I would quite happily of paid 15-20 for someone I trusted to create a key blade for me.

I would say that as far as coming out as a call out - you can charge what you want once people trust you. If they haven't used your services to prevent this from happening, then they will have to expect the cost to be heavy.

I have a few local mechanics that would use me if I started doing it and im sure that I could get some advertisement out but I don't like ripping people off so that's why I like to do research into prices and costs to see if it something I could still make some money on but yet charge a good low price

Ohhhhh... just a few dedicated key cutting machines that benefit from being bolted down to a bench, portable generator and so on (could strap a torch on your head at night.. but !), maybe an awning so that your not working in the rain, lol

there is only one key cutting machine that is needed and will cut every car key going and most house door keys (all house door keys if you buy the correct clamp), inverter for power, cars have lights inside them

programming of the key is done in the customers cars,
