Default I must be barking mad

I've just booked the car in to have a cam belt kit and water pump fitted - I must have been having a funny turn at the time. I swore I would not do this - but its been behaving itself for the last few months - so I though it might be worth a punt.

Sometimes I just go totally bonkers.

You're mad? I had mine done a few months back at the dealers!

Just got the car back.

The mechanic said that I had been 'naughty' (yes he actually said I was naughty) - for leaving is so long. He also said that the old cambelt was 'shagged' - not quite sure what he means there.

As I was having a moan about paying the bill - he mentioned that he sees loads of cars with broken cam chains - apparently some don't actually last the life of the car - Ford were prone to this.

Out of curiosity, what did the repair set you back?
