Default Hgv licence

Hi all
I was banned from driving from 2012 till 2013 15 month in total for dangerous driving, I was caught doing 100 so they automatically done me for dangerous driving,
Now I'm currently working in my dad's mates yard and he owns a haulage company and he recently put my dad and my brother through there hmv test
He's offered to put me through it but I'm just curious would they decline my application for it as I was banned, I've got my licence back after I re-sat my test

If your over 21yrs no

Most Companies will employ you with 3 points on your licence. It can take 4 -11yrs depending on the offence for the points to expire.

Well I'm 23 and I didn't get any points so clear on that
He knows about the ban and told me to still go ahead I've sent for my provisional app form it's just been picking at my head that they'd decline me
So thanks for clearing that up mate

Can't see why a) you would be refused a provisional licence or b) why any company would decline training. Your ban has expired and you are legally able to drive on public roads again. The only ongoing punishment would likely be a large hike in insurance premiums.

I just thought as it's a heavy vehicle they'd maybe be a bit more strict than obtaining a car licence but I guess I was worrying for nothing, thanks all for your help I've sent away for the provisional so I'll fill it in ad see how I go
