Unhappy Help/advice for a young Peugeot owner?

Hi everyone,

Just wondering if someone can help me or give me some advice - I'm almost 21 and when I turned 18 I took out a 15k loan to buy my first car (Peugeot 307cc) privately.

Prior to going and picking it up I did a Revs check on the VIN etc and it came back all okay - this must have been before they changed to the new system displaying results across ALL of Australia not just NSW.

I moved to Sydney and didn't really need the car anymore so I went to a dealer to see how much I could get for it but it came back as a write off in QLD.

Now I have a car riddled with problems (the window broke the other day, roof mechanism snapped so wont go down, both boot and key broke so wont open, the list goes on...) and it's worth basically nothing to sell - the dealer I went to said $5k max and that was before everything decided to break.

I'm sick of having to spend more money to get things fixed and I really don't know what I can do to get some/most of my money back on it. The only reason why I've kept it so long is because I'm still paying off the loan and can't afford to go and buy a new car right now.

Does anyone have any suggestions of what I could do? It's such a burden and I've seriously just had enough - am feeling very bummed out about the whole thing.

Thanks,

M.

We are mainly English here so rules may be different over here. In the UK if you pay a company to do a car check and it comes back clear and they get it wrong then they have to refund the full purchase price of the car.
