Default EOBD Fault Codes

I have collated lots of fault codes from various internet sites and built a simple application to search for the official description. If you don't have PP2000 or Diagbox and all you have are a list of fault codes then this may be of some assistance.

All The codes I could find are included i.e.
  • Pxxxx - Powertrain
  • Bxxxx - Body
  • Cxxxx - Chassis
  • Uxxxx- Network (UART)

It's handy to have if you want to quickly find out what the official description is. some official descriptions can be pretty cryptic and others are quite close to pointing directly at the cause of the issue. Released as Freeware.

Most of the Pxxxx codes are supposed to be Peugeot specific (but may be the same for other manufacturers) while the other code groups have the generic descriptions.

If you fancy trying it out then you can find more information and a download link here.

The program is called EOBD II Codes information and works on 32 & 64 bit windows XP / Vista / Windows 7 / Windows 8. The program leaves the registry alone and the uninstaller fully cleans up if you decide you don't want to keep it. Tested on Windows 7 x64, Windows XP x32 and Windows 8.1 x64

Hi Storeman. When I tried to download it windows defender said was too much risk with program and wouldn't even entertain carrying on with the download. Do you need to modify something at your end ? Any other member tried downloading it ?

False positive. It's probably because it's an exe file rather than a zip or rar. The installer package was created with Microsoft Visual Studio then I used WinRAR to created a self extracting archive for easy downloading. Both my PC & Laptop which have this installed on are fine without any virus or malware.

I downloaded it to a windows 8 laptop and windows defender flagged it as a file that isn't usually downloaded but allowed me to exclude it from being quarantined. I ran it and installed on the laptop without further issues with windows defender.

I'll replace the self extracting file with a plain zip file and see how it goes.

Just scanned the zip with Malwarebytes Pro and Microsoft Security Essentials without anything being flagged.

Noticed I'd made a couple of errors - duplicated a couple of code numbers with different descriptions. Sorted it out now.

Updated the install package but if you have already downloaded the application you can download the zipped program exe file and overwrite the original.

Updated File direct link: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/...nformation.zip

The codes affected were
P0110 was mistakenly listed as a duplicate P0109
P1909 was mistakenly listed as a duplicate P1908
