Default Change of Coffee...

Hello.
Been drinking `pod` coffee from Nespresso fo many years.
Thinking now its time for a change.
I still like the idea of pods as their much easier to use.
Have my eye on a `Delonghi Distinta` again using pods (though it will also take ground coffee as its a `pump machine`)
Long shot...but does anyone have any experience of changing from Nespresso to Delonghi pods?

Many thanks.
Regards
Mike.

Sorry I'm no help at all. We can't stand pods, we grind Lavazza Rosso beans and use a filter machine.

Nespresso and filter for me. Maybe you should get a filter machine then you'll have much more choice!

We have a Bosch Tassimo pod machine. Beats ground coffee from a cafetiere because one doesn't have any mess. Also I just happen to like the American Smooth Kenco does for the Tassimo. Only problem is that it needs to be drunk quite quickly as it's not really that hot out of the machine.

Just a coffee addict. I can set the filter machine the night before so I can grab a cup and run. Nespresso is just for special occasions!

Thanks for the clarification. I now understand where you're coming from.

Trouble for me is...I don't like filter coffee. I find it gets bitter very quickly sitting in the jug on a hotplate.

I'll continue my deliberations!

I'd say that depends a lot on the coffee, but fair enough! I prefer it to the pods for everyday use. As grumpy mentioned above, I find the pod machines don't make it quite hot enough for my liking, and as I stick it in a travel mug to take with me, by the time in finished it can be fairly cool. Also not enough volume to fill the mug!
