Default Cat D car what after?

hi I bought cat d car it has just scratch passenger door whats I must do to back this car on road?it has old mot till November and tax as well but v5 document stay on previous owner

ok I call vosa and they said cat D I no must do nothing I can drive normally? for future

Correct, you don't have to do anything, you don't even have to repair the damage if you don't want to!

If its got a valid MOT then you are good to go after you register the logbook to yourself, only cat C gets the MOT voided

Some people I know like to have an MOT for peace of mind, but if its written off for cosmetic reasons then I don't see the need myself

anyway I bought door just 20 pounds the same color I move wiring myself and car 2004 year like new

Insurance write offs are definitely the way to go for a bargain!

Because they have little resale value you can just keep them until they give up

Yes It will my work car ,just 70k diesel ,clutch and flywhell done last year.very bargain

Have you got a picture? Seems odd to CAT D for just a scratch, and if you come to sell it buyers are going to think the same.
