Default Any plans for a https secure site?

I use Firefox and a recent upgrade to 52 has introduced a new security check. If a site is http, like this one, Firefox will put up a warning. I can proceed with my logon and I can switch off the security check in about:config but that defeats the object

Any mods or members have any thoughts on this - are we likely to move to https security?

I have firefox 52.0.1 and haven't made any changes to security settings or played about with :config and I don't get any warnings about the site not being HTTPS.

It must get really frustrating for you as I would expect most sites visited would be plain old HTTP and would also trigger the same warning. To be fair, considering we don't put any real personal information into the signup I don't see the need to use the secure http protocol. If we had to enter home adresses or bank details then sure it would be the first requirement but just a name and forum id - nah it's not really a deal breaker IMO.

As you say, not a deal-breaker and I'll live with it. Interesting that you aren't getting the warning? Are you using the "remember me" for your logon? Thanks for your comments

I also use Firefox 52.0.1 and don't get any warnings. I am running Windows 7 pro 32-bit.

I don't get any warnings on 52.0.1 either.

I have my firefox remember my login details. If someone else manages to login from this computer then I have more to worry about than someone else getting into this and other websites as though they are me.

The websites that hold critical info like my banks website and other similar establishments don't allow credentials to be saved and also ask for random characters from a login id & password so I'm ok with my browser remembering certain login details as the important ones are as safe as they'll ever be.

That is exactly as I do. This forum is the only site where I get the warning so I guess I'll live with it and I don't want to turn it off in config. Thanks for all replies
