Default 406 HPi

I have owned a 406 HPi Exec for 10 years it has done 92000 and is in good condition.
The Peugeot dealer as I expected really did not want the car but because he wanted to sell me another offered me a pittance.
I have since advertised the car at what I think is reasonable price with very little response (mostly time wasters) I would have thought a fully loaded car although registered 2002 would still be attractive.

Sadly, the HPi has a bad name for reliability - which is a pity as its mostly normal everyday issues to be expected - no more or less than any other car really....

Its a great car though, and take lots of pictures of the car, with as much details of the history as possible to get the best price.

How much did the dealer offer, if you don't mind me asking?

Sadly 300 is actually a GOOD offer from a dealer for a 13 year old car

We buy newer cars than that for 150 or so regularly there will be someone out there for your car but places like gumtree and ebay tend to attract buyers looking for things for nothing I would say the top money for your car is 5-600 though as its too old to be desirable but too young to be collectable

I bought a 306 cabriolet a few months ago is a very low mileage car with history I only paid 300 for that I will lock it away for 10 years or so till they are rare then I might make a profit but I paid what it is worth at moment !!

I am taking your advice and attaching some photos I realize that this is an old car and take the point made by reliable 406 that it is probably a good price from a dealer, but it is a lot of car for 300. Must be worth more in spares
