Ok so after my heater decided to stop working yesterday I went into diagbox for the second time in a few weeks and when it came to the vin bit I had to put it in manually rather than the software detecting it its self like it did the first time I used it.
How ever it now will not read anything at all just no dialogue next to everything.
I can here all the components clicking when it does a global scan but just get the no dialogue so unable source issue out.
Anyone else had this and know what the cause is?
Check that you entered the VIN correctly and not confused a letter "S" with a figure "5" or a "B" with an "8" or similar, that has happened to me in the past.
I agree sounds like a driver issue i get this from time to time i have found that it must be plugged into a specific usb port when this happens it will then be happy no idea why as usb in theory is all connected together inside laptop!

No joy at all..refuses to connect to the car.
Will not auto detect and manually putting the vin in fails to.
I even checked and changed fuse for the ECU.
Think I am done with this car not being able to sort the simplest tasks with this car is starting to frustrate me.
As for your heater issue its most likely wiring under the dash so getting comms wont help in that respect some things dont need a computer to fix get under the dash glovebox side and find the blower give the wires a wiggle if the blower then comes on its dodgy wiring very common on peugeots.
You need to get the adapter to work then just because it lights up and makes a noise does not mean its working i have 2 adapters 1 does work most of the time but the other is like yours cant read vin but occasionally it will work !
I have a second cable mine came with two one much shorter than the other.
The long one is the one have been using and worked 1st time around but never since..I will the sendond one a shot now.
I might try uninstalling it all and try again from scratch.
I launched it with the net on the other day it might have been enough for it to realise it's RIP off software.
Try a system restore to day before you connected to net if available
