I Have a peugeot 207 1.6HDi which has a turbo failure. I am about to replace the turbo but the oil feed pipe on the turbo (where the banjo bolt connect) seems loose. Should the banjobolt part be "loose"as in be able to move up or down on the oil feed pipe, or should it be permanently fixed? it's a 2007 model

I bought 1.6 HDi couple of months ago and whilst checking everything, on checking the oil feed pipe at the connection with the banjo bolt felt some movement (sort of slides in and out a few mm). I was petrified the pipe wasn't working properly so ordered new one to replace before my Turbo died (was working great but for how long I wondered). Guess what, the brand new pipe had the exact same amount of movement as current one so there was nothing wrong with it.

As the other poster mentioned though, need to check other parts before replacing just the Turbo. I've read quite a few posts and watched some YouTube vids and best to change oil feed pipe and oil pick up. Need to remove oil sump to do it.

Good luck.
