Hi Guys, i have a big problem. i just boaugt a Peugeot 207 .The car has diployed belt tensioners and also has a bend left side fender, bend bonet(on the leftside) ,headlights. Airbags are not diployed. I replaced fender, belt tensioners, headlights and bonet. The Car runs and drives good. Everything works.
Airbaglight is on and it says all the time "belt tensioners or airbag faulty".
Now my question do i need to replace airbag controll module or can i clear the code and its done?
My belts are working really good and all belt lights on the dashboard working also.
Do I really need to replace the module? Because everythink works like it should until airbag light and message "belt tensioners or airbag faulty"
If ANY bag tensioner curtain etc had been fired then you would have to replace the fired unit and the airbag ecu you are saying pretensioners have fired.
No you need a replacement ecu as the tensioners are fired planet cannot clear it as already been said you can get the ecu reset but a replacement is cheaper.
Ist there a sequence how to replace the Airbag Module? Can i take a used Modul with same Part-Nummer or is not necessary ? If i take a used one can i replace it and its done ?
Thanks a lot i will do it like you said. I hope it is really done after this. One last question, need it to bei from same model year and same power ? Because there are to many Airbag-Modul types or can i take a random one with another Model year ,Power, fuel Typ and Part number ?
i have used a guy called Scott at 'SRS Reset' before . You send him the ecu and he clears the crash data and posts it you back . I also have one of these Airbag
Resistor kits from ebay , handy thing for diagnosing / fixing airbag faults .
