Default timming belt of chain

i have bought a 2010 2l hdi expert e7 taxi converted to wav. will it be timming chaing or belt and when will it need replacing..

i have no idea, thanks martin

There may be a belt and chain, post your VIN and I can have a look in detail for you.

Belt to be done at 90k miles max this is not peugeot recommendation this is my recommendation based on belts failing just before peugeots recommended 100k

It also has a chain driving the second cam so its got both

Bear in mind if it is on original belt then its due soon due to age rubber deteriorates over time

Its not a hard belt to do parts about 100 labour with someone who knows them probably same again.

If its left and it breaks it will break most or all 16 rockers and the injectors need to come out to replace the rockers this could cost 1000 easily

I know what one i would choose.

belts have miles OR age replacement regimes peugeot say 100k or 8 years i think but i have seen many fail early its your choice .
