Default 16v rhw to a 8v rhy is it possible

hi all have a e7 taxi 2006 model fitted with 16v rhw is it possible to replace with 8v rhy from a 2003 406. i belive the basic block the same and have read that you can still use the origonal ecu to run the 8v. the rear lower mount is diffrent where the drive shaft runs through and fouls the turbo on the 8v engine and swapping the turbos looks like a pipe work nightmare has anyone tried this thanks EDDIE

Yes its possible and yes it works but not with an RHY or with a 406 engine

It does fit but turbo and mounts are different on a 406 you need an expert rear and side mount and turbo from an expert/dispatch the 16 valve parts don't fit the 8 valve engine !!

Lower mount does but side and turbo are specific to engine vehicle combo.

RHY is 90 hp you need the 110 hp RHZ engine as RHY has no intercooler connections

Pretty much as reliable says but the 110 rhz engine out of a 406 works just got to change all the auxiliaries round to expert/dispatch ones
