Default wiring a dashcam through roof pillars

Hello all, my wifes car is a 14 plate 3008 1.6 HDi Allure.
I am going to hard wire a front facing dashcam but I'm a little concerned about the airbags in the pillars. is it safe to feed the wire past these? And what might happen if they ever go off.
Any thoughts would be welcome.
Cheers
Geoff

hi...on both my 3008's early and the last model before the current one ,all I did was to remove the weather strip that the door shuts against and tuck the wire in there, nowhere near the airbag..then under the roof panel and down the interior mirror..done..good luck

You can't pass the wires from the door rubber instead of the A pillar?

I am facing the same problem but in a Honda.

Hi...here is a pic of the door weatherstrip pulled to expose the gap between the a frame and inner trim...the feed from the fusebox comes up this gap..then inside the headlining down to the interior mirror...Ive use the same route on transit connect/vans..honda civic..bmw 3 series..407...307..
