I had a similar issue.

Try uninstalling diagbox, then reinstall according to the instructions.

Allow v7.02 to automatically install, and once it's installed, DON'T open it up. Just close everything down.

Then I installed v7.44, and everything works fine.

The light should go green, you can still use it on amber (well, I've managed to do it a few times).

If you try updating it to another version, as I didn't have any success at all using v7.02. The interface wouldn't communicate with the software until I updated to v7.44

ebay

You might need to uninstall the device drivers, then reinstall diagbox. Make sure that the interface doesn't go anywhere near your laptop before or during the installation procedure.

My Rev B wouldn't work on anything other than Diagbox 5.

Upgraded to Rev C and Diagbox 7 worked perfect.
