Question Hardwiring a Dashcam, 207 58 Plate

Greetings forum peoples,

I wish to install a dashcam in my 58 plate 207. I would like to wire it into the car so it comes on when the ignition comes on. I understand it may be easier to install a 12v socket behind the dash to plug my camera into. My question is, what can I tap off of to get a 12v supply? There's a bit of a cavity beside the 207 fuse box above the glovebox so I don't mind sticking it in there. How do I know that I won't take the fuse out on a circuit that I tap into. Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers

Have a search, someone has done this recently. Maybe stick "dashcam" in the search box.
