Default None turbo diag connector

hi i have a 2001 boxer 2.5 none turbo and would like to buy a cheap fault reader but don't know if my van has a port to plug into. if anyone could let me know i would be grateful i don't need an expensive reader but would like to make the van run a bit better my vin No is vf3232b5215949524 in case anyone can help i don't know where to look for anything yet until i can find repair manual that covers this van. the only 2 probs i have at present are the idle speed is always at 1000rpm and it does not like hills of any kind about 35mph and 2500rpm to get up them.any advice at all most welcome i like this van and would like to make it better without breaking the bank.
