Default Do my injectors need coding?

2.0L HDI, 2004 Boxer,DW10 engine.
I have just had a set of injectors refurbished, I think 2 were originally off the van and 2 were not. Must I get them recoded?
I'm getting black smoke on acceleration and was told maybe they need recoding, but I'm sure the garage said that my year of engine did not require this?

No they do not need coding but they must be the same group they will have a letter on them A B C whatever this must match on all 4 otherwise they will flow different amounts of fuel.

You will probably find the real cause is lack of air as all your ports are full of carbon restricting the airflow.
