Default Boxer 2007 2.2hdi suction control valve problem

Hi all,my boxer died on me last week 100m from home after a full days work the day before, towed to local garage who said various codes listed (sorry unknown)stated probable suction control valve, the valve is only 8 mths old and old one was in van so was fitted and it started, ok till next day then died again, i had ordered a new denso valve and fitted it -still dead then by accident i tried to start it while the scv was unplugged hey presto it has been running for last 5 days. Since then the toad immobiliser has been removed by garage all earths cleaned by me wiring visually checked n/s wheel arch etc but still wont run with the scv connected any ideas guys the garage are wanting to change ecu now !!!
