Default '14 Boxer Wiper Problem

My mate has a 2014 Boxer. The wipers stopped working intermittently and wouldn't park occasionally. He spoke to a Peugeot garage and they said it was the motor so he bought a new one. He has fitted the new one and now the wipers start on slow speed as soon as the ignition is on. If you put the stalk to off, int or 1 then they just carry on wiping. Put it to 2 then they speed up. Wash works. If you unplug the com2000 unit the the wipers carry on wiping. I tried to plug my pp2000 in but it needs a different adapter lead so won't talk to it. My mate has a snap on and it gave him code B1023.

Anyone any ideas? Is there a relay?

Any help much appreciated

Unpluging a com2000 unit ALWAYS makes the wipers keep going as the com switches them OFF not on sounds crazy i know but thats how things work nowadays they are switched by relays and the switchgear controls the earth side of said relays.

Its always better to diagnose faults properly not rely on what others say it is especially garages !!

Is the replacement motor wired exactly the same as the old one

Not sure tbh as I only got involved today. Someone had said to him that he would need to reset the park position which is why he asked me to see if my pp2000 could do it. Never heard of having to do that. I've told him to check the motor earth and wires for damage. I'm guessing the motor has 12v live to work the motor and a 12v to operate the park. Just wondering if there is another relay somewhere?
