i would not do this because it will invalidate your insurance and it is your safety and life you are messing with, if you sell the car i would say that it would be illegal unless you told the person you sell it to before you buy

the seat belt pretentioner works with the airbag, in the even of a crash the seat belt tentioner pulls you in the seat and the airbag goes off to stop your head going too far forward, if you take out the seat belt tentioner that mean that you will travel forwards more in an accident and the airbag will throw you back and could break your neck or kill you

If the pretension has fired then there is a good chance that the Airbag ECU contains crash data and will need replacing or sending away to be cleared.

The 207 has been around long enough now to make fixing this correctly with good second hand parts a cheap repair.

Get is scanned with Peugeot Planet & see what fault codes are now stored in the airbag ecu so you know what exactly has been fired by the SRS system & what then needs replacing to affect a correct repair.

Normally BOTH the front seatbelt pretensions will fire together.

Is your & the front seat passengers life really worth that little you want to bodge a potentially life saving safety system?

Telling others what was done to sort it would help others with a similar issue.

That's the whole point of the forum!
