Default 2012 3008 wireless reversing kit

Hi all,

Just purchased a wireless reversing camera kit for 2012 3008 Active 2.

Having searched the forum I can't find any guide to installing re: power supply to hardwire the monitor.

Is it possible to access the rear of the 12v supply socket located in the centre console, and if so, how?

I won't have the car or the kit for a few days yet but would like to be ready to fit it when it arrives.

Thanks in advance

I'm not familiar with the car itself but have done similar things to all my previous cars. You can take a feed from the cigarette lighter (I assume that's what you mean by 12v supply socket), just make sure the socket turns off when you turn off the ignition (or you remember to turn off the screen when you leave the car to avoid a flat battery). Most cars will turn off the socket when ignition is off but worth making sure.

Not being familiar with the car I'm not too sure where the socket is from looking at pictures online. Failing that, you can take a feed from the back of the stereo which may be easier to remove (if it's got a couple of holes on both sides like the one here you can put some coat hanger wire or a thin (2-3" long) screwdriver in each hole to release the clips and pull the stereo out, the red wire on the back is what you want.

Or if you're near my part of the country (Guildford, Surrey) I'd be happy to help you out with it
