Default Replacing the ECU

Is it possible to replace the ECU in a 1.4 Bipper 2011 I think.
It is suffering from electrical problems, and it seems to point to a faulty ECU unit.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks.

In theory yes but ecu is rarely at fault unless has suffered water damage.
Which ecu? You have a main ecu & fusebox under the dash with an engine ecu & fusebox plus an engine management ecu plus a fair few others ABS, airbags etc. Worse, usually the main ecu and engine management ecu are paired together with the key so all 3 have to replaced as a set!
Your current ecu can be sent away for testing but in around 60% of cases no fault is found as the diagnosis was incorrect and the wiring to the ecu was the issue.

As said,an ECU is rarely the cause of a problem. Its more likely to be a bad wire,Earth, a sensor or what ever? A thorough diagnosis is the key to solving your problems.

Bippers are fiat based vans so they dont have the underbonnet electronics peugeots have the underbonnet fusebox wiring though does cause issues and a garage that does not want to waste time will tell you it needs an ecu either to get rid of you or get enough money out you to warrant the time needed on it
