Default No Claims Bonus question

I've just found out that if I insure a second car - my ncb is zero on that vehicle -that is it would be as if I was a new driver without 20 years driving experience and in excess of 10 years no claims.

I can only drive one car at a time - can someone please explain the rationale behind this approach. How do risks increase when I am driving a different car?

You are driving 1 but the other might be run into by some other nutter meaning a claim !

that's the argument they will use but its crap you can only insure 1 car with a discount as it is YOU that earned the discount not the fekin car

Some insurance companies offer multi car discount. I believe Admiral advertised that a while back.
Get trawling through the internet and see what you find. It might take a while but could be worth while.

We do have the facility to mirror No Claims Bonus on second vehicles.

If you wanted to PM me your details I would be happy to arrange a call back from our quotes team.

Kind regards,
Dan.

Had to have a chuckle last night. I'm turning 50 next year so went to the Saga site for quote. They wanted 400, my current insurers want 200. Class

When I needed to start providing my own insurance three years back I looked at some of the policies that require a telematics box fitting to the car. The cheapest quote was twice the cost of the cheapest quote without telematics and gave far less cover for the extra money. Go figure!

I have full no claims on my 407. When I retired I went self employed as a gardener and needed a second vehicle. Got a saxo insured just working through price comparison sites for cheapest quote with no no claims discount. Worked out the cheapest way for me.

Comp insurance on my 307 and a Nissan X Trail is 580.

214 quid just for pug with 11 years no claims - so multicar insurance is OK.

I think they liked the fact that only I would be driving.

Happy days
