Yes thanks for the reply friend, as we suspected the main selector cable from the gear stick to the box was sized solid.
other 1 was fine.

So ordered a new set which was forced on us as they only sell them in pairs as a unit lol.

Anyway will fit tomorrow and should be ok .

And after that hopefully will also have solved our long running antipol fault as well with another part getting done as well.

Regards
Andy

Ok

As suspected 1 of the cables was sized solid, but replaced both as it is only sold as a pair.

gearchange now sweet .

Our antipol fault still running .... replace electrovalve for swirl chamber, and now replaced swirl pot ..still getting the antipol fault comming up although now reacts diff.

before we replaced the electorvale for the swirl pot, ( which we had to do as 1 of the pipes was snapped of the electrovalve) the car would go into limp mode, could pull in and turn off engine for a few mins and it would reset the ecu.

Although it would still say antipol fault the car would drive normal, wiht engine mangment light still on.

hen i discovered that 1 of the pipes had been snapped of the electorvale for the swirl chamber, i replaced it and the fault changed .

the car would come up0 with the antipol fault message, but the car wouldnt go into limp mode, it would hold back ( i mean as if the car was being pulled back a lack of power when asked, but it would clear if you just left the accelerator in the same position .

so we replaced the swirl chamber itself the other day, but the problems still remains the same .

so seems like it is onwards and upwards (maybe downwards) and replacing a few of the other valves.

as for the codes

p0380 : which is pre/poet heating fault which i believe isnt actually causing any probs.

P0235 : turbo pressure sig : either short to poss or open sig.

P0246 : Turbo pressure meausred to low.

P0245 : Turbo pressure :turbo pressure to high.

p0100 : flowmeter signal : open circuit or short to earth.

P0401 : egr air circuit fault : air flow lower than recommended .

Any help welcome .

Will prob deal with the egr side of things next electro vlae and egr valve next .

regards
Andy

PS

meant to add all the fap stuff has been switched off in the ecu so not that which is causing our problem

You need a glow plug or two first.

Egr is at fault which should eradicate the airflow fault but check any vac pipes first

Then give it a good road test

not to bothered about the glowplug thing at the moment, will get around to that .

and the egr as i mentioned is the next on the hitlist thanks for the help Madv.

oh and for others reading this forum, dont assume that getting your ecu taken care of is going to stop your limp mode, when the dreaded antipollution fault appears it sometimes dont .

Andy

Yes mate, but we took out a 4" core from the centre, as we didnt want to gut the filter completely...(long story).

And if i am thinking correctly, then it shouldnt matter if the filter is there or not, as the dpf has been completly removed from the ecu, and had a little remap as well.

But i will stand corrected if i am wrong .

Update on the antipol fault..now replaced the egr electorvalve..and the turbo pressure electrovalve as well..and still have a slight hesition, every now and again..but car wont go fully into limp mode.

So blocked of the egr valve, with a blanking plate.
And still getting the same prob of slight hesition every now and again..but can drive though it 90% of the time.

Erroe codes now are
p0235 intermit

p0403 intermit..i guess thats now showing up due to the egr being blocked off ?.

so what you think folks .
