Default Rear silencer

Thought I would treat our 807 to a new rear silencer as it was its 10th birthday and its outer skin has largely rusted away, off to Peugeot as I beleive after market silencers are not worth it. Lad in parts says there has been a part upgrade, the old part no was 269 plus VAT and is no longer available, the new part is 369 plus VAT = 442!! The rear silencer from Euro Car Parts is listed as 76, special offer 56 presumably plus VAT but how can there be such a difference such that you can buy 6 of the aftermarket silencer for 1 original.

ECP Price is VAT inclusive. If you don't get it this weekend just order via carparts4less, which is Eurocarparts on-line only sister company and there prices are normally lower than ECP other than this weekend etc when they have the up to 50% off when they match prices with Carparts4less

Try buying a full exhaust for a Subaru legacy h6 you wont get much change out of 2000 from a dealer IF they can get it

Dealer exhausts are always expensive regardless of make.

catering size baked bean cans with wire wool and jubilee clips come in at around 8 quid, and if you do it yourself then main dealer monkeys cant overtighten the clamps
