Default Electrical fault, heater etc.

Hi all, hope someone can help. I have an 806 Quicksilver 2.0 HDi.
The fan for the heater has stopped working. The lights for the controls - Auto, Eco etc., all light up, but the temperature readout doesn't but also, the lights on the dash for mileage / trip and one or two others don't light up, but oil, handbrake, engine etc., all work.
My first thought was a fuse gone. I checked the fuses behind the glove box and those under the bonnet, but they all seem ok.
Does anyone have any idea as to where the problem/solution may be? I was really surprised to discover that Haynes don't do a workshop manual for this car.
Regards, Peter
