Default Drivers seat

Hi guys, i have a 2009 807 hdi.

My kid was jumping about in my car when I was cleaning it and the drivers seat collapsed.

It's broken on both sides at the front, to the point I can lift it clear, but it's still attached at the back end.

Do you think it's just the seat needing to be replaced or do I need a new base frame as well??

The seat still slides back and forward, which makes me think its just the seat.

How easy is it to remove the seat, but leave the frame in place??

Any help would be appreciated.

thanks.

Steve.

Thanks for the reply.

I think mine is defo away.

There is a joint at each side, at the front, and they have snapped off at the seat, at a bar that goes accross underneath, from one side to the other, they are still attached to the bottom, so i can spin them round.

I can jam them into place and the seat sits at its normal height, if they come away, the seat sinks really low.

Im finding it hard to even find a seat. Do you think other Peugeot seats would fit or only 807????

Ive also read that Fiat Ulysses and Citreon c8 parts fit, do you think a seat would???

Im stuck.

That is frustrating, only C8/Ulysse/807 seats will fit. There are loads of them being scrapped now so you should be able to get an exact match or even in a worst case buy a seat with non matching trim and transfer your trim to it. Breakeryard, partfinder, Ebay etc.

Yeah been on Ebay, spoke to about 6 or 7 now breaking 807's all already gone, or seat in bad way.

Had a decent one, Im not bothered about trim matching, as long as it aint wild colour and it's grey like mine, but the guy only noticed the lower lumbar area was gone on his, as he was pulling it out.

Ive still got 6 months on my mot, so ive got time, but ive been looking for 3 already.

My local scrap dealer, had the exact seat, but when i opened the door, it had been infected by rats and was stinking.

I was still going to take it and see if i could clean it.

Had 3 of the 4 bolts off (whilst almost being sick with the semll), and went to adjust seat to make it easier, the whole seat adjusters fell apart in my hand, to say i was gutted was an understatement.......
